If you get a notice from the Marketplace saying that you need to submit documents to confirm that you were denied coverage through Medicaid or the Children’s Health Insurance Program (CHIP) in the past 60 days, you can upload or mail the Marketplace documents at least one person who was denied. If more than one person on your application was recently denied coverage through Medicaid or CHIP, you only need to submit documents for one of these people.

There are 2 ways to get dental coverage in the Marketplace:
- Health plans that include dental coverage. Some Marketplace health plans include dental coverage. You can see which plans include dental coverage when you compare them. If a health plan includes dental, the premium covers both health and dental coverage.
- Separate, stand-alone dental plans. If you want dental coverage that’s not included in your health plan, you can buy a stand-alone dental plan. You can see them when you shop for plans in the Marketplace. If you choose a separate dental plan, you’ll pay a separate, additional premium.

A dependent is a family member in the employee’s household who is eligible for coverage, like a spouse, child, or partner.
